Ramayana Ep 6 – Aranya Kanda: The Golden Deer | Rama vs 14,000 Demons | Animated

Fourteen thousand demons march on one small hut, and Rama meets them alone. One demon escapes to Lanka, and soon the ten-headed king Ravana hears about Sita. Then a golden deer with silver spots steps out of the trees at Panchavati. This is the Ramayana told as a shadow-puppet play, in the style of Andhra's Tholu Bommalata leather puppets: one storyteller, one lamp, and the oldest story of the subcontinent. Episode 6 of the Aranya Kanda. Seeing Ramayana: Part One in cinemas?
