UP 1451 Florin Flyer Local | Ramona Ave. Railroad Crossing, Sacramento CA

Oct 30, 2026 Union Pacific Railroad Florin Flyer Local freight train on the UP Placerville Branch passes through the Ramona Avenue railroad crossing in Sacramento, California. The train had no work at NV Cement so they came straight through to here after picking up their parked part of the train and had already arrived before I got here but stopped due to having to wait before coming out onto the main line for traffic. The Flyer ended up waiting 2 hours. This also is the reason I filmed from. my pocket camera at the last minute as I was unaware I left my main camera on while waiting. and it died and I realized right when the Flyer started moving so I just pulled out my pocket camera. So unfortunately, the pocket camera is a powerful camera like my main camera so it reacts to the GE Pixilated Look LEDs here with the flickering frame rate. I barely get the chance to film Ramona Ave nowadays because the train gets through here too early than I can get out and then the return trip, I usually have to end the chance on the Placerville Branch East of here down the line so I can get downtown to film the SACRT Blue Line updates. There was a gap in the updates and construction which allowed me to do a full chase on the Placerville this day which is why I got Ramona Ave since eI haven't in a while but unfortunately I didn't film it with my main camera as this is my second time filming on this side since the bell replaced on the gateless signal but the traffic lights aren't functioning properly once again anyway.
