Forty-inch tires look great on a Jeep, but I wanted to find out how much they actually help on the trail. Recon One is getting a 4.5-inch TeraFlex lift and 40-inch Toyo Open Country R/T Pro tires and we’re heading back to familiar obstacles to see what changed. Jerry and I go through the suspension upgrades, Falcon adjustable shocks, steering improvements, and the details that matter when making room for bigger tires. Then it’s back to Truck Haven to compare the current build with footage from when Recon One was stock and running its first lift with 35s. From the logs and whoops to the pipes and steep climbs, there’s a lot to learn about clearance, flex, and how the whole setup works together. More height certainly helps, but it doesn’t make every obstacle an easy day! Back in the garage, I share my impressions, the tradeoffs I’m noticing, and what still needs attention before the next adventure. 🌎 TrailRecon Shop: https://bit.ly/trailreconstore ⚙️Shift Autowerx: https://shiftautoandoffroad.com Follow me on: 🛻 Facebook:   / trailrecon   📸 Instagram:   / trailrecon   CHAPTERS 00:00 Recon One Goes to 40s 00:52 The Tires and 4.5-Inch TeraFlex Lift 02:35 Steering Fixes and Suspension Upgrades 05:35 Shop Talk with Jerry 11:17 Back at Truck Haven: How Does It Drive? 13:47 Measuring the New Clearance 15:40 Flex, Fitment, and the Ramp Test 20:07 Logs and Whoops: Before and After 20:54 Tackling the Pipe Obstacle 21:39 The Sandy Hill Climb 22:00 Departure, Approach, and Finding the Limit 24:07 Garage Wrap-Up and What’s Next #TrailRecon #Jeep #JeepBuild
