Class 21: Restitution and Reliance

This class explores how quasi-contract doctrines not only provide independent causes of action separate to breach of contract, but also provide remedies for breach of contract actions. The focus is on the specific scenarios in which reliance damages for breach of contract (for example, when damages are too speculative) or restitution damages (for example, when pre-paid amounts are returned, or when the breaching party seeks restitution for partial performance before breach).
