Kings of Hell EA 2.0 - Mal True Hell Playthrough

*This was recorded in the 2.1 patch update This is my attempt at clearing episodes 1 till 10 of Kings of Hell as Mal in the hardest difficulty of the game. I recorded each episode and then segmented them all into a single video and skipping cutscenes ingame (but not cutting them just for the sake of showing an unedited run of what i was doing). True Hell difficulty only offers a single life which means mastering the character you play and minimizing the amount of damage you take becomes essential. Mal is my favorite character in the game by far so I wanted to challenge myself with him first, in the future when all episodes are out I plan to do a damageless true hell run with him, but for now this was good practice and I greatly enjoyed doing it. Mal is one of the first characters you're able to play as and he is a very solid pick overall when you learn how to abuse his kit to the max. He is able to freeze enemies which makes comboing them much easier, on top of having burst damage on his BBB special to instantly break shields when necessary. It also helps I love his design and his voice is hot so I simp for him lol. Mal doesn't have many flaws unless you compare him to other characters, his main weakness is that he doesn't have a lot of overall dps compared to some other characters so you really have to learn most of a boss' patterns. His neutral special while having iframes, also has you animation locked during a period where you don't have any so you can get punished for it if mistimed. I think one thing to take into consideration too is that for someone who is not used to his kit, he can feel very weak, he is that type of character who only feels strong if you know how to fully abuse his kit, otherwise he can feel underwhelming, but that's one of the reasons why I wanted to make this video in the first place. I also wanted to have this video out so it helps other people give the sexy green dragon a chance in harder difficulties, the game has a really nice difficulty curve once you master a character and it's fun to abuse them to their limit once you get the hang of it.
