*This was recorded in the 2.2 patch update This is my attempt at clearing episodes 1 till 10 of Kings of Hell as Yama in the hardest difficulty of the game. I recorded each episode and then segmented them all into a single video and skipping cutscenes ingame (but not cutting them just for the sake of showing an unedited run of what i was doing). True Hell difficulty only offers a single life which means mastering the character you play and minimizing the amount of damage you take becomes essential. Yama is by far my least favorite character to play as, I personally am not a fan of the way he plays but at the same time, for some inexplicable reason I find myself drawn to playing as him every once in a while (And it's not because of his ASSets). I guess it's because I do appreciate how difficult it is to play him to his max potential without getting punished due his weaknesses. Yama is that type of character who is VERY strong and can dish out a ton of dps under the right conditions, his main issue is that he has a lot of animation lock and it's really easy to constantly get punished as him because of it, he does have some tricks that can make his life easier however. His main 2 moves is his spin kick that allows him to stay midair as much as he wants on top of letting groups of enemies be dragged along with him, it allows him to ignore some boss mechanics while serving as some pseudo crowd control which makes it dealing with mob stages a little easier. The other one is his dash attack, he can spam it as much as he wants and it dishes out an absurd amount of dps if you can keep the momento, the problem is that it's difficult to control the direction you're going, specially on smaller enemies so it can be somewhat niche but extremely powerful against big bosses or stationary ones. Those two moves are powerful enough to help him through a run but he also has some glaring flaws that you need to be careful around. His BBB Special puts a very long animation lock on him which can easily get you punished and his neutral special makes him EXTREMELY fast, which makes you able to spam your moves more often but all that speed can backfire for you, so I don't use it often against bosses unless I know I can get away with it. His main BBB combo is also too slow without his neutral special to efficiently use it, specially against bosses but it does have some pretty good range so it has its uses... Can't forget the fact that a lot of Yama's attacks push enemies away so you often need to put them against a wall to effectively use your combos, which often makes arenas that do not have walls the worst type of fights he can have on. Despite that, he is very strong and I don't even think I played him too efficiently anyway, you can see me getting punished a few times for using his BBB special in a bad spot. He feels slightly similar to play as Baphomet/Paimon in the sense that you have to be super aggressive to make the most of him, the main difference is that they can play aggressive and remain safe, while Yama has to be on the enemy's face constantly so definitely not nearly as braindead as them. Most of these runs were first tries (Except for EP 6 because I had to get used to Yama's parry timings and EP 10 because Yama's dash speed is really fast so it kind of threw me off against Gaap) and I had fun, if I do another True Hell run it will probably be with Ose because I feel like Furcas is not remotely interesting to showcase considering how broken he is... Also I'm not sure why but Asmodeus hitbox is weird, he wasn't getting inside Yama's spin kick as easily as other enemies do and it made comboing him harder than it is for other enemies, oh well. 00:00:25 - Episode 1 00:09:54 - Episode 2 00:22:10 - Episode 3 00:34:46 - Episode 4 00:42:33 - Episode 5 00:54:42 - Episode 6 01:02:50 - Episode 7 01:18:00 - Episode 8 01:26:45 - Episode 9 01:40:52 - Episode 10
