Lesson 10 | Qaidah Tamheed-ul-Quran Takhti No. 21 – Ikhfā’ Ḥaqīqī In this lesson, we study Ikhfā’ Ḥaqīqī (الإخفاء الحقيقي) through Takhti No. 21, with practical pronunciation and application. Before beginning the pronunciation of the examples on the Takhti, I have briefly summarized the four basic rules of Noon Sakinah and Tanween: 1. Izhar (إظهار): If any of the six Huroof-e-Halqiyyah (throat letters) comes after Noon Sakinah or Tanween, the rule of Izhar will apply. 2. Idgham (إدغام): If one of the six letters of Yarmaloon (يرملون) comes after Noon Sakinah or Tanween, the rule of Idgham will apply. 3. Iqlab (إقلاب): If the letter Bā (ب) comes after Noon Sakinah or Tanween, Noon Sakinah or Tanween will be changed into the sound of Meem, with the required Ghunnah. 4. Ikhfā’ (إخفاء): If any of the remaining fifteen letters comes after Noon Sakinah or Tanween, the rule of Ikhfā’ Ḥaqīqī will apply. After this brief review of the rules, the examples given on Takhti No. 21 are explained and pronounced practically, so that students can understand the correct application of Ikhfā’ and improve their Qur’anic pronunciation. This lesson is part of the Qaidah Tamheed-ul-Quran series and is designed to help students learn Tajweed rules step by step, with both theoretical explanation and practical pronunciation.
