Join as as we deliver a Pahi 63 from Akaroa, deep in the South Island to Whangarei, near the northern end of the North Island, during winter! The Pahi 63 is the largest Wharram design for self building, and this particular one, "Ruawaka" is one of just 11 that are sailing. Until recently, this boat spent it's whole life in a lake in the mountains (!!!) but now it's on a significant sea voyage. Considering that we are sailing a relatively untested boat through the roaring 40s during winter, we really have a pretty smooth passage. So, there is no great sailing drama, but we do get to take in a lot of the sights on the way!
