How Does a Seed Grow Into a Plant? For Kids | Bugsy's Why Lab

How does a seed grow into a plant? A seed is like a tiny packed lunchbox: it holds a baby plant and food for it. Add water and warmth, and the baby plant wakes up and grows. Bugsy opens up a seed to see how seeds grow (it's not a pebble!). Seed germination for kids: grow a bean in a jar and watch it happen! Try it: Ask a grown-up for a dried bean and a clear jar. Fold a wet paper towel inside the jar and slide the bean between the towel and the glass. Keep the towel damp and look every day: first the root, then the shoot! Bugsy's Why Lab: short, curious science stories for kids aged 5 to 8, on the letsBug channel. Every episode ends with an experiment to try at home. Grown-ups: please help with every 'Try it' activity.
