Part 2 - Who Really Leads the Church? What the Bible Actually Says | Karen Stuckey

Who really leads the Church? Is it the pastor, the elders, a denomination, or Jesus Christ Himself? The New Testament gives us a clear answer: Jesus Christ is the Head of His Church. In this teaching from Church Gathering Online, we explore what Scripture teaches about Christ's authority over His Church and what that means for pastors, elders, ministry leaders, home churches, and every believer. Many churches today have established leadership structures, programmes, and traditions. But are we ensuring that everything we do remains under the authority of Jesus Christ and His Word? In this teaching, we explore: ✅ What it means that Jesus is the Head of the Church ✅ Who has ultimate authority over the Church ✅ The biblical responsibilities of pastors and elders ✅ How Christ equips and leads His people ✅ Why church leadership must remain accountable to Scripture ✅ What this means for New Testament church gatherings today KEY BIBLE PASSAGES 📖 Colossians 1:18 📖 Ephesians 1:22–23 📖 Matthew 28:18–20 📖 Ephesians 4:11–16 📖 1 Peter 5:1–4 📖 Acts 20:28 FOR PASTORS, CHURCH LEADERS & HOME CHURCHES This teaching is part of our New Testament Church series, exploring how we can faithfully apply the teachings and examples of Jesus and His apostles to church life today. Our aim is not to establish another denomination or promote a new church model. Our desire is to return to Scripture, examine what the New Testament actually teaches, and encourage churches to remain faithful to Jesus Christ.
