Physicality when doing voice work is VERY crucial, but knowing exactly how to do it is equally important.
When voiceover artists hear or think of "physicality", they think that it's just "moving" or "using their hands" to guide the vocal delivery.
Just to be a little OCD on the terminology, it's actually a collection of movements that are in synch with how you intend to deliver the script.
If you decide to speak from top to bottom, not only should your hand illustrate the motion, but so should your head, your shoulders, heck, your ENTIRE body should indicate that.
Why? Because it will reflect on the performance as a whole (and casting directors and producers will feel it in the delivery).
-----
There will be some seasoned voice talents who "think" that they are moving correctly; however, their brain muscles could be "thinking" that they are moving along with the recording, when they may not be (or at least at full capability).
