How a Single AI Project Pushed Us to Re-Invent Wix’s Developer Platform - Gilad Bison & Dor Chaouat

The future of product development at Wix is increasingly AI-driven — products that don’t just help users build websites, but actually generate, evolve, and deploy code on their behalf. In this talk, we’ll share how Wix Vibe became the catalyst for a new company-wide developer platform. We’ll introduce five systems that now define how code is created, built, executed, stored, and deployed at scale: Dev Machine, Wix Hosting (Backend as a Service), Code Store, IDE as a Platform, and Wix CLI - together forming the platform that enables secure cloud-based development for Vibe and future products. And it isn’t just infrastructure — it’s a shift in how we extend Wix products: from traditional “developer tools” to a platform that any product, AI-based or not, can leverage to create, build, and execute code securely in the cloud.
