Can you really eat for just US$10 a day in Hanoi, Vietnam? 🇻🇳 I've seen plenty of YouTube videos claiming you can eat like a king in Vietnam for $10 a day, so I thought I'd put that to the test. I'm staying in Hanoi's Old Quarter, one of the most tourist-heavy parts of Vietnam. Rather than hunting down the cheapest food or deliberately spending a fortune, I'm simply eating wherever takes my fancy and seeing what it costs. Along the way, there's a bánh mì breakfast, Vietnamese coffee, some delicious bún chả for lunch, a beef salad for dinner, and the usual unexpected encounters that come with wandering around Hanoi — including a little warning about a doughnut scam I managed to fall for myself! So, did I manage to eat all day for $10? Not quite! My final total was 357,000 Vietnamese dong — approximately US$13.73 (A$19.68).
