Coleman Pinnacle — Scrambling Ptarmigan Ridge | Mount Baker

Coleman Pinnacle rises above the popular Ptarmigan Ridge trail like a fang bared against Mount Baker's north face — a striking, seldom-visited objective in Washington's North Cascades. The route is a fun Class 3 scramble, threaded along a knife-edge of jagged volcanic rock to a summit that feels far more remote than the mileage suggests. Then the ridge falls away on all sides, and Mount Baker's glaciers fill the sky — a view so vast you will want to linger and soak it in.
