Minister Chan Chun Sing’s Speech on Government’s Response to the 2026 Review of Political Salaries

Coordinating Minister for Public Services Chan Chun Sing reiterated how the updated political salary framework will give the Government a strong chance to secure capable and committed individuals to step forward and serve Singaporeans. He also explained how the revised framework strengthens the link between political officeholders’ remuneration and their performance based on national outcomes, while holding them to high standards of accountability. Minister Chan delivered a speech in response to the Motion on the Government’s response to the 2026 Review of Salaries for Political Appointment Holders and Members of Parliament on 10 September 2026.
