The 3 Most Disturbing Hauntings Ed & Lorraine Warren Investigated

What really happened inside the haunted houses and disturbing investigations that inspired The Conjuring, Annabelle, and The Amityville Horror? Ed and Lorraine Warren became two of the most famous paranormal investigators in American history. Throughout their careers, they investigated reports of hauntings, unexplained encounters, and alleged supernatural activity that continue to raise questions decades later. In this documentary, we explore three of their most disturbing investigations. The Perron Family — The Conjuring: In 1971, a family of seven moved into an old Rhode Island farmhouse. What followed were years of reported apparitions, unexplained voices, and a frightening séance that would eventually inspire one of Hollywood's most successful horror films. Annabelle — The Haunted Doll: An ordinary Raggedy Ann doll became the center of a terrifying series of reported incidents in Connecticut. Strange movements, mysterious messages, and disturbing encounters eventually brought Ed and Lorraine Warren into the investigation. The Amityville Horror: In 1974, six members of the DeFeo family were murdered inside their Long Island home. Just over a year later, the Lutz family moved in and reported frightening experiences that would become one of America's most controversial haunting stories. The Warrens' subsequent investigation would also become associated with a mysterious photograph. Through documented history, witness accounts, and atmospheric storytelling, we investigate the events behind these famous cases and the unsettling questions that remain. Were these extraordinary experiences connected to something beyond our understanding? Or are there parts of these investigations that still haven't been fully explained? Welcome to Raymond Carter.
