In these two videos, I’ll explain the structural differences between “gerunds” and “present participles”, two types of words with “-ing” endings. “Gerunds” are nouns/noun phrases formed by adding an “-ing” ending to the base forms of verbs. Remember that “gerunds” function as nouns!
有「-ing」字尾嘅字有「gerund」同「present participle」兩種。今集解釋嘅「gerund」係動詞變嘅名詞。用「gerund」名詞組做「subject」記得要用第三身單數嘅動詞!
