USA@60 and ARB@30: Reflections from Past Presidents & Chairs. #architecture #history

We bring together the past Presidents of the Uganda Society of Architects (USA) and former Chairs of the Architects Registration Board (ARB) for a panel discussion on the evolution of Ugandan architecture. In this discussion, the former leaders reflect on key shifts in the built environment, tracing the evolution from roots to modernism and current sustainable, tech-driven design strategies. 0:00 Evolution of architecture 2:25 Pioneering the profession 4:19 Historical growth and needs 6:32 Academic and field practice 7:55 Industry standards 9:12 Technology and AI 11:00 The architect as a leader 12:15 Notable projects 13:36 Collaborative design 15:18 The future of the field 16:26 Passion and ethics 18:43 Optimism for the future
