Jeffries and His Rialto Orchestra - I'm Gonna Bring A Watermelon To My Gal Tonight (hot!)

Jeffries and His Rialto Orchestra play "I'm Gonna Bring A Watermelon To My Gal Tonight" (Billy Rose-Con Conrad), featuring several solos. The pianist plays most of his straight but has a rather interesting break at the end! I'm unsure who plays the bass clarinet solo - tonally it almost sounds like Charles "Nat" Star, who is thought to have played on some of these sessions. Bert Heath and ?Charles Mead - trumpets/ Ted Heath - trombone/ Arthur Lally - alto sax, clarinet/ ?Charles "Nat" Star - alto sax, clarinet, bass clarinet/ Asher Atkins - tenor sax, clarinet/ Leon Zimbler - piano/ ?Stan Greening - banjo/ brass bass/ Bobby Tate - drums/ John Thorne - vocals The actual Leslie Jeffries band played in Scotland but for recording purposes, bands of regular studio musicians using the Jeffries name were used.
