Dipnetting in Alaska | Fishing the Kasilof River 2022

Ever wondered what dipnetting is or how local Alaskans catch their yearly supply of salmon? Here you'll get the inside look at what happens on the beach when the salmon run (return to the river to spawn) and how we go fishing in Alaska! We went dipnetting in Kasilof for the first time this year (we usually dipnet in Kenai) and it was great! Not as busy as Kenai (although you wouldn't think that from the video 😂) and still, we caught more than any previous year! It was raining the whole time so I didn't get as much footage as I'd have liked, but you get the gist. Dipnetting in Alaska is super fun! Well, hard work, but fun!
