Windy White Poplar Treetops -July

The silvery leaves on this grove of Poplar sparkle in the wind, and make a pleasant sound. Populus alba is member of the Willow family, preferring riparian woodlands and creating dense colonies. Multi trunked with cottony seeds, they mainly spread through agressive root suckers. I always enjoy their fluttering leaves when I walk past them on this riverside trail. 💕☺️
