hey all. this is going to be heavy. this is your warning. do not read if you don't want to. I sort of lied. this is the final bus of biggleswade. I kept it for today as it's come around again.. 7th of October is a very tough date for me as it's been 2 years since my grandad passed away. I did route 6 last year with MX12 KWY (    • 3869 MX12 KWY Arriva Milton Keynes VDL SB2...   ). this year I wanted something that meant a bit more. I originally wanted TWT 123 (    • TWT 123 Arriving At Biggleswade Bus Station   ). as it was on one of the shows we always used to watch. but unfortunately it was always busy whenever I tried to get it. so I settled for WPH 135Y. why? well it's preserved in Lincolnshire. my grandad was from Lincolnshire. so I find a subtle irony that this came. so I managed to get it. filmed it. and kept it for today. it was a lovely bus. really well presented and quite fast. this is probably what my grandad grew up with. these types of buses. who knows. maybe he did it once! a lovely bus all around. happy anniversary grandad. I miss you every single day ❤️ To note. I'm going to try and do something special on this date and for his birthday moving forward. as he's the main reason I grew up with buses and why I like them so much. history (mildly innacurate.); it was new to London country in 1982. then it transferred to Hedingham In June 1988. then it went to kentishbus in 1993. and got rebodied with East Lancs EL2000 Bodywork. then it went to Venturea in 2015. then transferred to the preservationist in 2023 and has been with them since. apologies about background noise. enjoy. filmed from biggleswade bus station to steam county fayre.
