Agroecological Strategies for Almonds in the Mediterranean Region

This video presents the AGROSUS field trials in an intensive almond orchard at Finca Cortijo de la Reina, Córdoba, in the Mediterranean Region. Alicia Morugán and Jesús Aguilera, researchers at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT), explain the trials comparing conventional synthetic herbicides with agroecological alternatives. Since 2024, four different weed management strategies have been tested and compared across crop cycles to evaluate their performance and explore practical alternatives to conventional herbicide use.
