This video presents the AGROSUS field trials in Tomiño, Galicia, focusing on sustainable weed management strategies in vineyards in the Atlantic Region.
Yedra Vieites, researcher at the University of Vigo (UVigo), and Oliver Weiss, field technician at Bodegas La Val, explain the trials being carried out in the region.
The vineyard trials include long-term comparisons between conventional and ecological farming practices, as well as short-term trials testing different agroecological strategies, including mulching, pine bark and biodegradable weed barriers.
These trials aim to assess practical alternatives for weed management and contribute to more sustainable agricultural systems.
This work has been produced within the AGROSUS Project, promoting sustainable and resilient agricultural practices.
