Trooper Hayden Phillips: A Life of Service, A Sacrifice Kentucky Will Never Forget

Kentucky State Police Trooper Hayden Phillips was killed in the line of duty on September 28, 2026, while conducting a traffic stop on Interstate 65 in Warren County, Kentucky. He was just 28 years old two days away from what would have been his 29th birthday. Trooper Phillips served three years with the Kentucky State Police as a member of Cadet Class 103 and was assigned to Post 3 in Bowling Green. Before joining KSP, he served with the Glasgow Police Department and Russell Springs Police Department, including service as a K-9 handler. His commitment to others extended beyond law enforcement through service as a firefighter and EMT. Behind the uniform was a husband, a father of three sons, a man of faith, and a public servant whose life was defined by dedication. His obituary describes his commitment to his wife, his children, his Christian faith, his country, and the people of Kentucky. This Fallen Heroes tribute remembers not only how Trooper Phillips died, but how he lived — serving others in uniform after uniform, answering the call again and again. Matthew 5:9 reminds us: “Blessed are the peacemakers…” Trooper Hayden Phillips Kentucky State Police — Post 3, Bowling Green Unit 369 End of Watch: September 28, 2026 Rest easy, hero.
