NSE MANCHESTER BRANCH TECHNICAL SESSION SEPTEMBER 2026 Engr. AbdulRasheed Babalola is a Professor of Chemical Engineering. He holds a Doctorate and Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering from Covenant University, Ota and Federal University of Technology, Minna, respectively. He specializes in Reaction Engineering Kinetics, Catalysis, Nanotechnology, Renewable Energy and Petroleum engineering. He is a COREN registered Engineer and a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, a Fellow of The Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers, a Fellow of The Nigerian Institution of safety Engineers, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Facility Engineers and Management and a Member of American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). Professor Babalola is a distinguished scholar with several publications in high impact journals. He has presented Technical Papers at both National and International Conference. He has supported the engineering profession through knowledge sharing for Continuous Professional Development and human capital and professional development. Engr. Prof. Babalola is the Director of Centre for Facilities Engineering and Management, Akwa Ibom State University, Pioneer Head of Chemical Engineering Department of Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi where he had his sabbatical leave. He served as Head of Chemical / Petrochemical Engineering Department of Akwa Ibom State University, Ikot Akpaden, Akwa Ibom State, for four years, between the year, 2018 – 2021. He has served the Nigerian Society of Engineers in many capacities, at Boards, Committees, Branches and Elected National officer. He was Kaduna Branch Chairman between 2016 -2018, National EXCO member between 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. He has served as Vice Chairman and Chairman of Professional development Board of NSE National Council. He is currently a member of NSE Fellowship Board and Chairman, College of Fellows. He is also a member of Environment and climate change committee, member Branding and publicity committee as well as member of Editorial Board committee. Engr. Prof. Abdulrasheed Babalola, FNSE is happily married to Mrs Mojisola Tinuola Babalola and the marriage is blessed with Children
