Sonic 3 Other Circumstance is a full-fledged 2D Sonic Fan Game, created by the S3OC Team, featured as an entry in the 2026 Sonic Amateur Games Expo! #sonicfangames #sonic2dfangames #SAGE2026 Overview S3OC for short, is a full-fledged counterpart to S3&K which completely re-imagines the competition stages from Sonic 3, taking advantage of the "reality in which Sonic Team instead of splitting Sonic 3 & Knuckles, made a bit smaller game, but full of surprises and content". - What is it about? Sonic 3 & Knuckles is famous for being that one big classic sonic game with various features, cool levels and gimmicks. It introduced a lot of stuff into the franchise which we still see today in official media. What we don't really see often are the locations from the Competition Mode. Fans made a lot of fan works with Azure Lake sprites and other zones, re-using music for new context, but most of the time those locations by itself weren't the focus.
