God, I Hope You Weren’t Listening | Alternative Soul-Pop | LyricWake

God, I Hope You Weren’t Listening is an original alternative soul-pop song about the things we say to God when grief turns into anger. Sometimes a prayer does not sound like faith. Sometimes it sounds like blame, rage, doubt, and words we wish we could take back. But underneath “I’m done with You” may be something much harder to admit: “Please don’t leave me too.” A song about grief, faith, anger, doubt, and the strange ways we keep talking to something we claim we no longer believe in.
