Moktak, Gong and Crickets at Dawn | Korean Mountain Forest | 2h

A path below Dosoram, on Goryeongsan in Paju — the hillside above Bogwangsa, a thousand-year-old temple about an hour north of Seoul. Recorded in October 2026, before sunrise. For the first twenty minutes a moktak and a gong carry up from the temple below, the sound of the morning service. Crickets the whole way through, and a few birds as the light comes. The visuals are from a Korean forest, filmed separately. Headphones recommended.
