Temple Bell, Crickets and Birds at Dawn | Korean Mountain Forest | 2h

A path below Dosoram, on Goryeongsan in Paju — the hillside above Bogwangsa, a thousand-year-old temple about an hour north of Seoul. Recorded in September 2026, from 5:10 AM. The first hour belongs to the crickets. Around six, the temple bell sounds from below, and the birds begin — a scops owl, turtle doves, crows, and smaller birds somewhere in the branches. A wooden moktak carries up the valley later on. A rooster, very far off. Filmed on the way back down the same morning. Headphones recommended.
