A Nurse Signed the Baby Out to a Stranger | Drama Thriller Movie | Based On True Story | Lifetime

A Teenage Girl Helps Investigate Her Mother’s Murder—And Slowly Realizes the Killer May Be Living Under the Same Roof. After Rachel’s mother is gunned down near her workplace, the teenager suddenly becomes responsible for helping care for her younger siblings while her grieving father tries to keep the family together. Then the official investigation stalls. One detective refuses to let the case die. He suspects Rachel’s father, Michael, may know far more than he admits—but without proof, he cannot act. So he makes a dangerous request. He asks Rachel to watch her father. At first, she feels guilty even considering it. But then Michael starts getting rid of her mother’s possessions, begins a new relationship, and behaves in ways Rachel cannot explain. The deeper she looks, the more frightening the truth becomes. Her mother’s death may have been carefully planned by the man the family depended on most. Inspired by real events, this crime thriller follows a daughter risking everything to expose a murder-for-hire conspiracy hidden inside her own home.
