Beekeeper Industry Leader Patty Sundberg: It’s Time for Other Ag Sectors to Help

Montana beekeeper and former American Beekeeping Federation president Patty Sundberg says solving the beekeeping industry's colony losses, which topped 62% among commercial beekeepers between mid-2024 and early 2025, will require help from the rest of agriculture. She's calling for pollinator strips, better roadside management, and use of public lands to give bees the forage they need to survive.
