FIRST PHASE OF TANZANIA'S STANDARD GAUGE RAILWAY READYING FOR COMMISSIONING

Tanzania is readying to commission its first phase of the Electricity powered standard gauge railway. Currently the 240 km phase from the commercial capital Dar es salaam to Morogoro is being tested ahead of commissioning. Government of Tanzania intends to construct the SGR from Dar es salaam to the port city of Mwanza which is linked to Uganda through Luzira port.
