#SangsiriForestPark #KotliSattian #FoodaholicTravellers    / @foodaholictravellers4155   Join Foodaholic Travellers on a beautiful journey from Islamabad to Sangsiri Forest Park, following a different route through Bani Gala, Simly Dam Tunnel, Karore and the old Aryari Fire Watch Tower before reaching the tall pine forests of Kotli Sattian. Instead of taking the usual routes towards the Murree hills, we travel through Bani Gala and along Simly Dam Road, passing through the mountain tunnel and stopping to admire the beautiful views of Simly Dam from above. As the journey continues beyond Karore, the landscape changes into winding mountain roads surrounded by pine trees. We leave the main road for an off-road stretch towards Aryari Fire Watch Tower, an old forest lookout overlooking the surrounding hills. Aryari Fire Watch Tower Located in the forested hills of Kotli Sattian, the Aryari Fire Watch Tower is a historic lookout dating back to the colonial era. Such towers were used by forest guards to watch for forest fires and illegal timber cutting. Today, the tower remains an interesting landmark in the area's forest heritage. Sangsiri Forest Park — Our Final Destination After visiting the watchtower, we continue towards Sangsiri Forest Park, a beautiful pine forest in Kotli Sattian, Punjab, Pakistan. The surrounding Sangseri area rises to approximately 5,400 feet (1,650 metres) above sea level, although elevations vary across the forest. Tall pine trees, beautiful forest scenery, open spaces and fresh mountain air make this a wonderful destination for a day trip from Islamabad. We spend some time walking through the forest, capturing aerial views and enjoying a cup of tea surrounded by the trees before ending our journey. This episode brings together mountain roads, forest landscapes, a historical watchtower, drone footage and the simple experience of exploring somewhere different. Whether you enjoy road trips, nature, mountain landscapes or discovering lesser-known destinations around the world, we hope you enjoy travelling with us.
