#jacmel #haiti #vlog #travel The road is finally taking shape, but building in Haiti continues to teach me lessons I wasn't expecting. 🇭🇹 In this episode, I show the finished roadwork and explain why certain sections were widened, cleared, and improved. I also share some mixed feelings about paying for work that sometimes expands beyond what I originally agreed to, especially when additional improvements benefiting other people get included along the way. Beyond construction, I explain how I manage access to my Starlink internet connection so my family can use it without affecting the connection I depend on for work. At the coffee nursery, I begin clearing an area for a compost pile where I'll gradually collect leaves and other organic matter to prepare compost for future use. Finally, the person overseeing my house construction arrives from Port-au-Prince, and I'm getting ready for the next stage: sourcing construction materials.
