#jacmel #haiti #travel #vlog There's never a normal day in Macary, Haiti. 🇭🇹 In this episode, I come down with a cold, and while I brought my own medicine, my family also introduces me to some traditional remedies to help me feel better. Despite feeling sick, I continue making progress at the coffee nursery by organizing the planting bags, preparing more seedbeds (platbann), and planting coffee seeds. I also challenge my two cousins to a race up an avocado tree before sitting down with community leaders to explain the coffee project, answer questions, and make sure they understand what I'm working toward. Later, I head back into the upper mountains to collect the coffee seeds from our previous processing demonstration and show the water source that supplies people living farther down the mountain. Between the work, family, and community, every day brings something different as I continue building in Haiti.
