The Last Drop of Winter

The Last Drop of Winter is an original piano composition by Kenneth Carlino. Quiet and contemplative, the piece unfolds like the final moments of winter—a lingering stillness, a gradual thaw, and the solitary drop that signals the season’s departure. The piece was created with my proprietary procedural music-generation system, which composes and performs original MIDI music from programmed musical rules and a deterministic seed. The system is not AI: it does not use machine learning, language models, training songs, or imitation of existing music.
