Behind the Facade

Behind the Facade is an original piano composition by Kenneth Carlino. Sharp accents, unexpected pauses, and off-kilter turns hint at the restless movement beneath an outward sense of order. The piece was created with my proprietary procedural music-generation system, which composes and performs original MIDI music from programmed musical rules and a deterministic seed. The system is not AI: it does not use machine learning, language models, training songs, or imitation of existing music.
