Six nights in a row of saltwater flooding in the Florida Keys. On Wednesday night the NOAA tide gauge in Key West reached about 2.4 feet above the normal high tide, the highest water there without a hurricane since the gauge went in back in 1913 (only hurricanes like Wilma, Irma and Ian pushed it higher). The tide spilled across Atlantic Boulevard, Marathon passed the major flood mark three nights straight, and marinas overflowed from Islamorada to Key Largo. Now the National Weather Service in Key West expects a wet, stormy stretch from Saturday night through Monday, right on top of the tides, with 1 to 3 inches of rain forecast for Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Figures as of late Friday night, October 30, 2026. NOAA tide data is preliminary.
