After the Ocarina of Time album, a viewer suggested that I should give Majora's Mask the same Brazilian treatment — so here we are. The first Zelda album was honestly a bit of an experiment. I wasn't sure how people would react to hearing Ocarina of Time reimagined through Brazilian music, so seeing how well you guys received it made me really happy. I read the comments, saw the requests for another Zelda album, and Majora's Mask felt like the perfect follow-up. This time I wanted to go a little deeper. MPB and Bossa Nova are still at the heart of the album, but Majora's Mask gave me a lot more room to explore different corners of Brazilian music: samba, choro, frevo, baião, maracatu, samba-funk, jazz fusion, psychedelia and other sounds inspired by Brazilian records from the 60s and 70s. Some tracks went in directions I really wasn't expecting. Goron Race ended up being my favorite — I love how Brazilian and different that one feels. Moon's Destruction was another one that really surprised me. As with the previous album, the idea wasn't to simply put a Bossa Nova rhythm underneath the original OST. I tried to find a Brazilian identity that made sense for each composition while keeping the melodies that made these songs special in the first place. Thanks to everyone who listened to the Ocarina album, left a comment or suggested what I should do next. I genuinely didn't expect that experiment to get the response it did. Hope you enjoy this one. 🎧 TRACKLIST / TIMESTAMPS: The complete tracklist is in the pinned comment below. Original music composed by Koji Kondo, Toru Minegishi, Naoto Kubo and Kazumi Totaka. The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and its original characters/music belong to Nintendo and their respective rights holders. This is an unofficial fan-made transformative project created for entertainment and appreciation of the original soundtrack. ABOUT THE PRODUCTION / AI USE The creation is a hybrid AI-assisted process built around generation, AI stem separation, manual editing, mixing, mastering and visual design. I could just download the finished track, but the quality is bad, the instruments don't always talk with each other, and there are no fades or things like that, the full track can always work as a blueprint of what to do, but you will have some difficulties to make it sound like the original. I start by creating multiple versions of each track with AI-assisted music tools. From there, I generate/separate the audio into stems — so I can work with the individual parts manually. To be clear: I’m not playing or recording every instrument from scratch. The stems are AI-generated/separated, then I edit, clean, cut, layer, rearrange and rebalance them by hand. The AI output is only the starting point. I go through different versions, keep the parts that work, remove weak sections, rebuild transitions, fix awkward moments and try to keep the original melodies recognizable while reshaping the soundtrack into a new style. I’m not a professional musician or audio engineer. I learned by experimentation, YouTube videos and basic mixing/mastering study. I generate/separate the audio into stems first, then bring those stems into FL Studio for most of the arrangement and editing work. Adobe Audition is used for detailed cleanup, fades, volume correction, audio polishing, final preparation and overall mastering. The final video is assembled in Adobe Premiere Pro, where I place the audio, time the sequence, animate the cover/CD-style visuals and prepare the final export. The artwork is mostly internet references, the characters are always the original ones from the game covers, sometimes I use AI for backgrounds and elements, but I don't just generate an image on any AI and upload it. AI makes the scale possible, but it’s not a one-click upload. Every release still goes through manual selection, AI stem work, arrangement, editing, mixing, mastering, visual design and final video production. IF you wanna know the tools used: AI-assisted music generation tools and AI stem generation/separation FL Studio (For stems editing) Adobe Audition (For mastering) Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe Photoshop AI image-generation tools Thats it, it's not a 100% automated process but i'm no professional musician, all i've know of mastering and audio fx is learned thru Youtube.
