Durga Sukta Epic Vedic Hymn: The Chant of the Goddess

This sacred hymn, from the Rig Veda Khila, is the Durga Sukta: the warrior's call to the Goddess. Revealed at the very end of the Vedas, it is the hymn that gave the Goddess her very name: Durga, the one who is hard to cross. She is the fortress no enemy enters, and the passage no enemy can block. Where the mind builds walls of fear, this chant asks for the power to cross them.
