Trains at Milewater Road Footbridge & Botanic Tunnel - 15/8/2026

This video was filmed on Saturday 15th September 2026. I decided to try out some new spots for filming in Belfast. The first spot I chose was Milewater Road footbridge, which overlooks York Road and Fortwilliam depots as well as the line between York Street and Whiteabbey stations. The bridge isn't great for filming through due to the holes that are difficult to fit the camera lens through. Because of this, I only filmed 3 trains there before giving up and going to the next location. Trains seen at Milewater Road footbridge: 3010: B715 10:25 Larne Harbour to Belfast Grand Central 4016: B410 11:10 Belfast Grand Central to Derry ~ Londonderry 3009: B718 11:15 Belfast Grand Central to Larne Harbour Then I filmed trains for about an hour from Lisburn Road, overlooking the south end of Botanic tunnel, between Botanic and City Hospital stations. From this view, platform 1 of City Hospital is slightly visible. It is a good spot for getting tones due to the tunnel.
