Cycling Nice to Peille with Tadej Pogacar spotting

A 10 out of 10 ride for scenery, challenging climb, chance to explore an excellently preserved Medieval French Village and exhilarating descent. But then add the total chance spotting of Tadej Pogacar made it epic! On my descent I stopped in to Tripple Crown Bike Shop and Cafe in La Turbie for espresso and a croissant when he, girlfriend Urska and entourage show up. This was one of his first days riding outdoors since his crash at the Vuelta and first day not in the Rainbow Jersey after McNulty’s win at Worlds, so he was in the European Championship Jersey. A bucket list moment as you can see from my reaction! Also a shoutout to Eat, Sleep, Cycle Nice for the excellent rental and the route from their Strava club site.
