Absolute Clayface Became Batman To Kill Robin.

Absolute Clayface wears a Batman suit to murder Tim Drake and frame Bruce Wayne in Absolute Batman issue 23. Scott Snyder and Nick Dragotta orchestrate the framing so precisely that the Robins hunt Batman for a murder he tried to prevent. Scarecrow uses the ensuing chaos to shatter Bruce's trust in his mother Martha, his childhood friends, and his own memory. Alfred defies his British intelligence bosses to return to Gotham and defend a vigilante he compares to a terrified child. While Slade Wilson weaponizes the Robins' grief, Batman corners Scarecrow in a burning cornfield and leaves him tied to a wooden post. The story sets up a final confrontation with the Joker as Gotham's greatest detective picks himself out of the dirt. Subscribe for more comic breakdowns like this.
