Can I really run 5K every day before open heart surgery? With my heart surgery getting closer, I’ve decided to take on a challenge that feels pretty important to me — running 5K every single day and documenting the journey. I’ve been diagnosed with a bicuspid aortic valve with severe regurgitation, and I’m due to undergo open heart surgery. Running has always been a huge part of my life, so I want to see what I can achieve while I’m still able to train before surgery.
