SAHAY – Smart Access to Healthcare and Assistance for You Smart India Hackathon 2026 | Problem Statement ID: 26133 SAHAY is a digital healthcare platform designed to improve access to quality healthcare services for people in rural and underserved areas, by connecting patients, ASHA/healthcare workers, hospitals, doctors, laboratories, pharmacies and government-level healthcare stakeholders through a unified digital ecosystem. 🎥 About this Prototype This video demonstrates the working prototype of SAHAY, following a realistic patient journey from a remote village to healthcare assistance. The demonstration begins with Balasaheb Patil, a 32-year-old farmer, experiencing fever, dry cough and mild headache. Instead of travelling a long distance to access healthcare, he approaches his local healthcare worker and enters the SAHAY ecosystem. The prototype demonstrates how the platform can support: • Patient registration and digital health identity • ASHA / healthcare-worker assisted access • Hospital and healthcare-facility coordination • Digital patient records • Queue and appointment management • Patient triage and vitals recording • Doctor consultation • Diagnostic test ordering and report management • Digital prescriptions • Pharmacy and medicine workflow • Patient follow-up • Centralized healthcare information across the patient journey • Low-connectivity / offline-first healthcare access 🏥 End-to-End Healthcare Workflow Patient → ASHA / Healthcare Worker → Registration → Triage → Vitals → Doctor → Laboratory → Prescription → Pharmacy → Follow-up SAHAY aims to reduce fragmentation between different stages of healthcare delivery and make healthcare services more accessible to people living in rural and underserved regions. 💡 Key Objective To create a unified, accessible and technology-driven healthcare ecosystem that helps connect rural patients with healthcare services while enabling healthcare workers and facilities to coordinate patient care more efficiently. 🛠️ Technology Stack Frontend: React.js, Next.js, JavaScript / JSX Backend: Node.js, Express.js Database: MongoDB Atlas ODM: Mongoose Authentication: Clerk Supporting Services: Supabase API: REST API Development: Antigravity IDE Version Control: Git & GitHub 🔐 Security & Accessibility The prototype is designed with role-based access, facility-level authorization, secure authentication and healthcare-data protection in mind. The platform also considers low-connectivity environments, with an offline-first approach intended to help users continue essential workflows when reliable internet connectivity is unavailable. 📌 Hackathon Information Hackathon: Smart India Hackathon 2026 Problem Statement: 26133 Domain: MedTech / BioTech / HealthTech Solution: SAHAY – Smart Access to Healthcare and Assistance for You This video demonstrates the prototype implementation and proposed workflow developed for the Smart India Hackathon submission.
