In 1191, Prithviraj Chauhan defeated Muhammad Ghori in the First Battle of Tarain. But in 1192, the Second Battle of Tarain changed the course of North Indian history. Muhammad Ghori defeated the Chauhan forces, and Prithviraj Chauhan was captured. What happened after his capture? Where did he die? Was he taken to Ghazni? And what is the historical truth behind the site associated with his name?
