The Pokémon Game Freak DELETED Before the Games Came Out

Game Freak designed dozens of Pokémon, then deleted them before the games ever shipped — and the proof leaked out of a single 1997 trade-show demo. Eight that didn't make it: Honooguma, the fire bear that never evolved into anything you know; a completely different Umbreon; the beta beast trio Rai, En and Sui; the cursed Norowara; an earlier Girafarig; Kotora; Riifi — and the glitch ghosts left behind in the final code, MissingNo and the Mew nobody was supposed to find. Most have no real footage because they were erased, so this reconstructs them from the Space World '97 demo and their surviving relatives. All documented, from the leaked builds and the disassembly. ▶ New Pokémon lore breakdowns every Wednesday and Saturday.
