Lindy and Pepper two great trails! Sept 5

I had to include both videos here to show the stellar job today on two trails by Lindy and Pepper. On both trails, Pepper had beautiful solid starts – fast. We also discovered she was dead on to where the runners walked even in the wind, and on trail one she did an amazing job of assessing the wind and working up into a scent cone to find Paula. Trail two went into the wind to start and along a curb, but on the grass side. At two points, the runner curved up onto the grass berm to avoid Foxtail, and that explained to us why Pepper did that along the way – she was following the footsteps dead on. When she rounded the corner, she had a strong wind from her left. She went up and looked across the road dismissed it then followed the scent to the building edge however, at a midway point in an opening, she went up to nail exactly where Cyndi crossed a set of driveways. Pepper was drawn back down to the brown brick building and just as she was getting close to Cyndi she was drawn up to the boulevard exactly where Cindy crossed to get to the building. Now Cyndi was downwind from her and it was a bit of a puzzle for Pepper and it wasn’t until she passed Cyndi on the sidewalk that she got wind of her and turned around so happy to see her runner. It shows you that dogs are not visual. We all saw Cindy standing there and we had to wait patiently for Pepper to find her with her nose. What a great two trails today. Super job reading her and handling her by Lindy who always trusts her dog.
