Why Growing Food and Knowing My Neighbours Matter to Me

As I patch up the chicken run with old scraps, I’m thinking about what helps a community through difficult times. For me, growing food, saving seeds, practical skills and knowing my neighbours are part of it. This September 2026 farm day includes my personal political and current-event reflections about preparedness, alongside the job in front of me. It’s a conversation about what I value, rather than a prediction of what will happen.
